Casio didn’t just say their watch was tough — they decided to prove it in the most extreme way possible. ⌚💥

In one of Casio’s legendary durability demonstrations, a massive 55,000-pound truck was driven directly over a G-Shock watch to show just how much abuse the watch could withstand.

The point wasn’t simply to create a dramatic advertisement. G-Shock watches were designed around the idea of absolute toughness, with shock-resistant construction intended to protect the internal components from impacts, vibration, and harsh conditions.

So instead of using a normal stress test, Casio went straight to the extreme: put the watch on the ground and let a truck weighing around 27.5 tons roll over it.

And that’s what makes this demonstration so memorable. Most brands tell you their product is durable. Casio essentially said, “Let’s see what happens.”

It’s a perfect example of how engineering can become marketing when the product itself can back up the claim. The spectacle grabs your attention, but the real story is the engineering hidden inside that small watch.
