Austin FC has acquired 19-year-old center back Chris Applewhite on loan from Nashville SC through June 2027 ✍️🌳

Austin sends Nashville $50K in 2026 GAM, with a purchase option included in the deal. Applewhite will occupy a Supplemental roster slot.

Applewhite captained the U.S. U-20s at this summer’s Concacaf U-20 Championship, starting five matches and scoring in the semifinal against Costa Rica as the U.S. reached the final 🇺🇸👏

The Nashville Academy product has made five MLS appearances making his debut against Seattle back in April 2025, played 31 matches with Huntsville City FC in MLS NEXT Pro, and featured in 2 U.S. Open Cup matches 👍
