Chris Paul opened up about the way his Clippers career ended, and you can tell this one STILL hurts 😔💔 CP3 called being sent home during his retirement season “one of the most disrespectful things” he has ever experienced, especially considering everything he gave that franchise. This is the same player who helped completely transform the Clippers when he arrived in 2011, became the engine of the Lob City era, helped them win 50 plus games five straight seasons and eventually became the franchise’s all time assists leader. For Chris, this was supposed to be a full circle final chapter with the organization where he spent some of the best years of his career. Instead, he was sent home in December and never returned to the NBA.

What seemed to hurt CP3 the most was realizing that years of history and loyalty did not guarantee him the ending he imagined. “No matter what you do, or what you’ve done, nobody cares.” 😔 That is a brutal way for one of the greatest point guards ever to describe the final season of a 21 year career. Whatever happened behind the scenes, seeing the Point God’s career end like THAT after everything he meant to the Clippers is tough. 💔🏀
