Yves Couturier of Kanata won $1 million in the July 18 Lotto 6/49 Gold Ball Draw after playing the lottery for 30 years. He called his son after discovering the win and says his family is still shocked.

He plans to pay his bills, invest and celebrate with a two-week European cruise. His winning ticket was purchased at the CNIB kiosk inside Walmart on Fernbank Road in Stittsville.
