We got behind the wheel of the all-new BMW M350, the M Performance replacement for the M340i, at BMW's secret test facility in Miramar. With the B58 inline-six making 437 HP, 443 PS, all-wheel drive, and a claimed 0-60 mph in about 4.1 seconds, this is the sharpest 3 Series BMW has ever built.

In this first drive, BMW engineers walk us through everything that changed under the skin: new tire sizes (245 front, 275 rear), M Adaptive suspension exclusive to this trim, retuned dampers borrowed from the Neue Klasse, a stiffer chassis, and a reworked limited-slip differential. 

We also break down the new rear-wheel-drive drift mode arriving in 2027 via a software update, test launch control on track, and compare Sport, Sport Plus, and DSC-off behavior in real conditions.
