Salt Hank's French dip makes no apologies about being exactly what it is: a drippy, delightful excuse to buy a ticket to the US Open.

Business Insider's Erin McDowell attended a media preview on August 27 to try the US Open's new food offerings for 2026. She tried almost every food item available, from handrolls to something called "Pasta Ramen," a decadent cross between shrimp scampi and ramen noodles.

McDowell realized then that the food is as much of a draw as the event itself, along with the merch, and tennis, of course. Still, one item was the star of the show.
