Metro Nashville police said a mental health team was not on scene before an officer-involved shooting that left suspect Jason Sexton dead in North Nashville over the weekend. 

A Tennessee therapist told FOX 17 News that mental health teams are important but believes Metro police did the best they could before the shooting. However, Sexton's brother Jesse disagrees and believes a mental health team would have made a difference.
