A few photos can now become a 3D world.

World Labs, the AI company co-founded by Fei-Fei Li, just introduced Atlas, a new AI model that can understand and recreate physical spaces. Give it a few photos or videos of a real place, and it can reconstruct the scene in 3D, then let you move the camera to angles that were never actually filmed.

The crazy part is that this is not just for cool videos. Atlas can also output 3D point clouds and Gaussian splats, which could be useful for robotics, games, filmmaking, sports replays, and virtual worlds.

World Labs says Atlas can generate camera-controlled videos up to one minute long at 1440p, with early access now open to select partners.
