Lindsay Clancy’s team is hoping to limit her suffering following her murder trial. After the trial to determine whether she is criminally responsible for the deaths of her three children ended in a mistrial on Sept. 4, her attorney Kevin Reddington has expressed his hope that President Donald Trump might issue a pardon on her behalf. "I'd like to say that perhaps Donald Trump, who felt compelled to speak out about this case, may very well,” Reddington began during his Sept. 8 appearance on Good Morning America, before addressing the U.S. leader more directly: “Mr. President, I would hope that you would consider this young lady, the type of person she is, what she has been through, and consider a pardon.” Though Clancy has admitted to killing her three children in 2023—she subsequently attempted suicide, leaving her paralyzed from the waist down—she pleaded not guilty in the first-degree murder case, arguing she was suffering from postpartum psychosis at the time. After a week of deliberations, the jury in the case confirmed it remained deadlocked, with a single juror holding up a unanimous decision, leading to the mistrial.
