The former Fox News and Fox Business anchor recently made headlines for her abrupt departure from the network. In the chaotic aftermath of the announcement, we're taking a closer look at her decades-long marriage to her financier husband. Long before she became a Fox News mainstay, Bartiromo met Steinberg—who is the son of late billionaire financier Saul Steinberg—in 1990, just after her college graduation. The two tied the knot in 1999. Steinberg is also in finance and is the CEO of WisdomTree Investments. Fox Media confirmed Bartiromo's departure in a statement Sept. 3, saying, "Effective today, Maria Bartiromo is no longer with Fox News Media. We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 1/2 year and wish her all the best on her next chapter." President Donald Trump later spoke out on her exit, writing in a Truth Social post, "I can’t believe Maria Bartiromo is no longer going to have her great show(s) on FoxNews/Business. Three different shows, always number one. Maria is a total professional, and a true warrior.” He concluded, "Her fans, of which there are many, will not be happy. God bless you, Maria! President DONALD J. TRUMP." Bartiromo's attorney, Bryan Freedman—who represented Justin Baldoni in his high-profile case against Blake Lively—later denied that Bartiromo was fired and further claimed that she was "still employed by Fox."
