Chloe Kim’s dad bought her first snowboard for $25.

🏂 Chloe Kim | Olympic Gold Medalist | Snowboarding

No money, no connections, no coaching background.

He started working nights; Dishwashing, cashier shifts. Whatever it took to survive.

Then his daughter stood on a snowboard. So he bought her first one for $25 on eBay.

Warmed wax with melted candles, cut yoga mats into pieces stuffed them into her pants just so she wouldn’t get hurt.

And every weekend, at 2 AM, he carried her to the car while she was still asleep.

Six hours each way. She would wake up at the mountain. Jong Jin Kim didn’t build a program, he built access.

And when she was eight, he quit his engineering job.

No backup plan, just belief.

While her father built the training system, her mother Boran built everything around it.

Night shifts, meals packed before dawn.

And when Chloe needed support outside of sport - therapy, adjustment, balance, her mother made it happen

One parent built the path.

The other made sure she could stay human while walking it.

⁉️ What are you building for your child that no one will ever see but everyone will feel in the outcome? ⁉️

👩‍🔬 I spent years decoding what 100 elite athlete parents actually did. The uncomfortable truth about how athletes get made.

🏘️🌴 It takes a strategic village to raise an athlete. This is your village. 🥇
