The post came alongside a series of posts in which Trump suggested renaming New Mexico 'New America' and the Strait of Hormuz 'Trump Strait.'

International law says the Moon cannot be claimed as national territory: the 1967 Outer Space Treaty bars countries from asserting sovereignty over the Moon or other celestial bodies.
