I asked for his birthday. He had no reason to answer. He answered anyway. “I’d be honored. February 1st.”

The J♠️. The Spiritual Initiate.

Only two days in the calendar carry this card. January 3 and February 1. Most cards have six or seven.

Spades is the suit of the body. The Jack is the initiate, the one who crosses first and comes back holding something. Together the card means spiritual initiation.

The suit that rules the body belongs to a man who teaches people how to leave the body.

This card has a shadow with a name. The actor. The one who performs the initiation instead of living it. Charisma alone builds a following, and you never have to cross over at all.

He could easily have that. But, he keeps telling people to stop believing him and go find out for themselves instead.

Andre is the initiate who makes initiates instead of followers. That is the high side of this card, and almost nobody chooses it.

He is also an Aquarius. Sovereignty, the collective, the one who wakes the room up. The Aquarian message, on the Aquarian card, in the Age of Aquarius.
