Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge TORCHED the Golden State Warriors on opening night of the 2016-17 season, beating them 129-100 in Kevin Durant’s first game with Golden State. 😳

Kawhi: 35 PTS, 5 REB, 5 STL 

Aldridge: 26 PTS, 14 REB

That Spurs team was legit. They won 61 games and eventually met the stacked Warriors again in the Western Conference Finals.

San Antonio was up big in Game 1 before Kawhi injured his ankle after Zaza Pachulia stepped under his landing space. Kawhi never returned to the series, and Golden State went on to sweep.

We’ll never know what would’ve happened if Kawhi never got hurt. 😔
