## Caption

Throwback Thursday is taking us back through the first two weeks of school—and apparently our Tigers wasted absolutely no time getting back into the swing of things. 🐯

⚽🏐 We’ve already seen some exciting soccer and volleyball, plenty of teamwork, and lots of Tiger spirit on the field and court.

🪷 In the Lower Division, a room full of VERY enthusiastic first graders learned from Miss Lily about…lily pads. (Sometimes the lesson plan practically writes itself.)

🇮🇱 We also welcomed a group of Israeli high school students from the Ambassadors Ramat HaNegev Teens (ART) program, which brings Israeli teens to Denver JDS to connect with our students and participate in programming together.  After joining our morning assembly, our visitors and Upper Division students headed to the Commons to make—and, importantly, eat—shakshuka together before the ART students spent time doing...well, art...with our Lower Division Tigers.

🔗 And speaking of working together, our entire Lower Division—from PK through 5th grade—contributed compliments to one VERY long paper chain. Because apparently when you ask a few hundred Tigers to say something nice about one another, you’re going to need a lot of paper.

🐱 There have also been plenty of kitten shenanigans, new routines becoming familiar, old friendships picking right back up, new ones beginning, and far more happening in our classrooms and hallways than we could possibly fit into one post. 

Two weeks down, an entire school year to go—already plenty worth looking back on with lots more to come.
