🇨🇻 IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR OUR SUPPORT TO FOGO 🌋🫂

This video is in Kriolu, but I want to explain clearly how this support will be coordinated.

I’m grateful to announce our working partnership with ze_luis_martins85 “Zé Luís”, whose solidarity work has helped vulnerable people in Cabo Verde.

To be completely transparent, Ze Luis is administrative only: receiving and transferring the funds through the appropriate nonprofit channel. Ze Luis is not the final beneficiaries of this fundraiser.

Once the funds reach Cabo Verde, they will be transferred to Miguel Montrond, who will coordinate the distribution of assistance to affected families, rescuers, and others directly impacted by this tragedy. 🫂❤️

Every transfer and distribution will be documented. 

Receipts and updates will be shared whenever possible, while respecting the privacy and dignity of the families.

IMPORTANT: Please note that we are not going to the families right away as they are in mourning but we will go in appropriate time and deliver the funds by Miguel Montrond. 

As of this update (Sep 8, 2026 @ 7:31pm EST in Boston) the GoFundMe has raised $3,208. The first transfer of $928.77 has been initiated by GoFundme to my bank account used for this only, while the remaining donations are still processing.

No one is being pressured to donate. If you have a verified connection to an affected family, please consider helping them directly. If you do not, you can support through our GoFundMe:
