Tonight, as I sing “Crianças di Nôs Terra,” I’m thinking about the children and families of Fogo, and every life affected by this heartbreaking tragedy. 💔🕊️

As a son of Fogo, this pain reaches me deeply. But so does the strength of our people. With the Cape Verdean flag in my hands and the spirit of Cesária Évora close to my heart, I’m sending love, prayer, and strength back home.

To every family grieving: you are not alone. We will continue to stand together, support one another, and fight for a better future for our children.
