Every football journey starts somewhere.

For Ayoni Santos, it began at just four years old at Stichting SoccerPlus in Rotterdam, where his first coach recognized the talent, passion and potential that would eventually take him to the highest levels of the game. ayonisantos ⚡️

From SoccerPlus, Ayoni continued his development with MSV De Betrokken Spartaan before earning a place in the Sparta Rotterdam academy at just nine years old.

Years of hard work, discipline and perseverance followed.

A dynamic and technically gifted attacking midfielder, Ayoni is known for his creativity, explosiveness, dribbling ability, energy and football intelligence. His ability to play between the lines, take on defenders and create opportunities makes him one of the exciting young players to watch.

Now, a new chapter begins. psv 🔴⚪️

Ayoni has made the move to PSV Eindhoven, taking another major step in his promising career.

But his story represents more than football.

Born and raised in Rotterdam, Ayoni proudly carries his Cape Verdean heritage and made his debut for the Cabo Verde national team in March 2026, becoming part of the Blue Sharks family. fcfcomunica 🦈🇨🇻

There is also a special football connection within the family. 
His brother, Jamiro Monteiro, has already represented Cabo Verde at the highest level. Now, Ayoni is writing his own chapter in the history of Cape Verdean football. jamiromonteiro 🇨🇻
