## Caption

The United States army says it has destroyed five Iranian oil tankers in the Gulf.
US Central Command (CENTCOM) said the strikes came after Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) twice targeted a US Navy warship with ballistic missiles.
CENTCOM says the warship evaded both attacks, and no American personnel were hurt.
The US military says crews were ordered to abandon the Iranian vessels before they were attacked.
