She was funny, cheeky, playful, mischievous and even asked me for my phone number. 😂

AGE MISCHIEVOUSLY.
I met Ruth in a coffee shop the other day.
She’s 95.

I helped her up some very steep stairs and discovered very quickly that although her legs might need a little assistance, her personality certainly doesn’t.

Apparently, she goes to this coffee shop in her town every day. Before I left, she insisted on a hug because, in her words, “you might be the last man I ever hug.”
How do you refuse that?

I walked away thinking that maybe one of the secrets to ageing well has nothing to do with trying to stay young.
Maybe it’s about refusing to let certain parts of you grow old.

Your humour.
 Your curiosity.
 Your playfulness.
 Your ability to flirt with life.
 Your willingness to be a little bit cheeky.

Ruth is 95, but there was something wonderfully ageless about her.
Perhaps longevity isn’t just about adding years to your life.

It’s about refusing to take the mischief out of them.
Age mischievously.
