Complicated and historically important pocket watches from Patek Philippe and Charles Frodsham take center stage at #SothebysHongKong this September. Representing the pinnacle of traditional watchmaking, these timepieces demonstrate a level of mechanical ambition rarely seen in any era. 

Minute repeaters, perpetual calendars, split-seconds chronographs, tourbillons, and even grande and petite sonnerie mechanisms define the group. Among the highlights comes a minute-repeating tourbillion, split-seconds chronograph from Frodsham, formerly in the collection of J.P. Morgan and later gifted to his grandson Pierpont Morgan Hamilton.
