Congratulations on 112 years to the Wong’s Benevolent Association! 🥂

Dedicated to preserving the stories of early Chinese Canadian immigrants, the Association has been a pillar of the Vancouver Chinatown community for over a century.

Our ties with the Association go back over a century: our founder, Wong Kung Lai, once served as Chairman at the Association, and his son, Bill Wong, continued this legacy as both a leader at Modernize and an active member of the Association.

To celebrate the 112th anniversary, we invited three generations of Wongs—Kung Lai’s children, Uncle Maurice Wong and Aunty May Wong; Bill Wong’s son, Peter Wong; and the current Director of the Association, Jeffrey Wong—to join us in creating this special music video.

We also want to express our deepest gratitude to the Wong’s Benevolent Association for inviting Modernize Tailors to return to our current location at 27 East Pender. We look forward to celebrating the legacy of our century-old shop together every year.

Here’s to honouring the past, celebrating the present, and bringing good fortune for the future ✨

Modernize Tailors的創始人：Kung Lai Wong。也曾經是黃氏宗親會的歷屆會長。今天能邀請其兒女Maurice Wong, May Wong 以及其孫子 Peter Wong, 還有年輕一輩的黃氏: Jeffrey Wong。  三代同堂一齊慶祝黃氏的112週年。我們獻上最誠摯的祝福。

 感謝黃氏宗親會邀請趨時裁縫店回到27East Pender as our current location。我們期待往後每一年一起慶祝百年老店的傳承。
