Tom Vincent is a lawyer working across cybersecurity, privacy, AI, compliance and digital governance, and a Partner at Pierson Ferdinand LLP. He also teaches cybersecurity law and policy at The University of Tulsa College of Law.

In our conversation, we explored how AI is changing digital identity, privacy and the way cybersecurity risks need to be understood.

“There’s an access to elements of identity that 𝐰𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝟏𝟎 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐨.”

Tom also warns that cybersecurity cannot be reduced to technical controls alone:

As AI becomes increasingly embedded in everyday devices and platforms, the questions around personal data, identity and access become much bigger than individual privacy. They become questions of communities, cities and countries.
