Jadarian Price has spent most of his career sharing the spotlight. Tonight, he finally gets the backfield to himself

Seattle used the 32nd overall pick on Price after watching him become one of the most explosive No. 2 backs in college football at Notre Dame. Playing behind Jeremiyah Love, Price still finished 2025 with 674 rushing yards and 11 rushing TDs on only 113 carries, an average of 6.0 yards per carry. Add two receiving TDs and two kickoff-return scores and he finished the year with 15 total touchdowns despite never being Notre Dame’s RB1. 

And that wasn’t a one-year flash. Over his final two seasons in South Bend, Price rushed for 1,420 yards at 6.1 yards per carry with 18 rushing TDs while operating as the other half of a backfield headlined by Love. He was also lethal on special teams, returning three kickoffs for touchdowns during his Notre Dame career. 

Now the opportunity is completely different. Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III is gone, Zach Charbonnet is dealing with an injury, and Seattle drafted Price in Round 1 with the expectation that he could become a major piece of the offense. Even Sam Darnold called him a “really special player” during camp and praised the different dimension he brings to Seattle’s attack. 

Anyone who watched Notre Dame already knows the deal. Love was the superstar, but every time #24 touched the football, there was a chance he was taking it to the house.

Now Price isn’t waiting behind a Heisman finalist anymore. Tonight we might find out why Seattle spent a first-round pick on him.
