Meet Makena from Whidbey Island, WA! 🕊️

“Leaving home and going to a college almost 3,000 miles away was really nerve wracking. The only person I knew was my roommate, and I had no idea what to expect from a large Greek life organization, let alone a huge SEC school. After joining Sigma Kappa and finding my girls in it, I realized I couldn’t have made a better decision! Sigma Kappa has made Alabama a home away from home, and I wouldn’t trade any of the friendships I have made for the world! Being an out of state student at a large school can be intimidating, but I’m so lucky to have found an organization of people I am comfortable being myself with!” - Makena Holdaas, PC ‘24
