The Warm Up Lesson: BEND YOUR KNEES.

If you are going to play tennis, you should bend your knees before you hit any ball. Learning how to bend your knees is apart of a great series of steps to create that solid foundation for your footwork. Here’s steps on how to bend your knees more effectively:

Step 1: Doing it. Try your best to command your body to bend those knees for every shot. Forehand, backhand, slices, volleys. Exaggerate it if you have to, all for the sake of making it a habit

Step 2: when you’re playing tennis, you should be lower than your actual height. Meaning, whether returning serve, chasing a ball cross court, about to slam the overhead, standing tall can cause wild shots, lack of leg power, more forced arm power.

Step 3: We get our power in tennis from our legs. Lunge, open stance.

Step 4: Do it, till you feel it. Then get used to that feeling.
