WMNF 88.5 FM was honored with the Silver Medallion Award from Community Tampa Bay during the annual Transformations luncheon at the Rusty Pelican 👏

The award is Community Tampa Bay’s highest recognition, honoring organizations and leaders who foster inclusion, understanding, and respect across communities. WMNF was recognized for more than four decades of independent journalism, cultural representation, and uplifting voices often overlooked by mainstream media.

“This honor is more than an award. It is a reminder of why WMNF exists,” said General Manager Randi M. Zimmerman while accepting the award on behalf of the station.

The event also celebrated the 35th anniversary of Community Tampa Bay’s ANYTOWN® youth leadership program, bringing together civic, business, and community leaders from across the region.
