Thirty years ago today, 25-year-old Tupac Shakur was fatally shot in Las Vegas.

Hours after a brawl with Orlando Anderson at the MGM Grand following the Mike Tyson fight, Tupac and Suge Knight were targeted at a red light by gunfire from a white Cadillac. Tupac died six days later from his injuries. Nearly three decades after the retaliatory attack, Anderson’s uncle, Duane “Keffe D” Davis, was convicted of first-degree murder for orchestrating the hit and supplying the weapon.
