This full performance was filmed on August 31, 2026, at Paradise Bay. World of Color – ONE transforms Paradise Bay into a massive outdoor stage using dancing fountains, enormous water screens, projections, lighting, lasers, fog, flame effects, and music to bring together stories from Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel. The approximately 24-minute spectacular celebrates the idea that one person and one action can make a difference. Like a single drop of water creating a ripple that grows into a wave, the show follows characters whose choices and actions change their lives and inspire those around them. World of Color – ONE debuted on January 27, 2023, as part of the Disney100 celebration. It was the first Disneyland Resort nighttime spectacular to bring together characters and stories from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Star Wars, and the Avengers in one production. WORLD OF COLOR – ONE Water is one of the stars of the show. Hundreds of synchronized fountains create constantly changing patterns while walls of mist become enormous projection surfaces for characters and scenes. The show’s water screen can span up to 380 feet across Paradise Bay. Fountains and projections are combined with theatrical lighting, lasers, fog, and dramatic flame effects. The surrounding Paradise Bay environment becomes part of the presentation, creating a multimedia experience on a scale far larger than a traditional stage. The show features music drawn from numerous Disney properties along with the original song “Start a Wave,” written by Cody Fry and featuring vocals by Loren Allred. Throughout the performance, World of Color – ONE moves between stories of individuals finding courage, following their own paths, and ultimately making a difference. Pocahontas and “Colors of the Wind” help establish the theme before the production moves through additional Disney and Pixar stories. Encanto brings Mirabel and the magical world of the Madrigal family to the water screens, while Pixar is represented through films including Ratatouille, Soul, and Coco. Remy and Linguini appear from Ratatouille, while Joe Gardner and the musical world of Soul become part of the production. The scale changes dramatically when Star Wars takes over Paradise Bay. Characters, imagery and music from the Star Wars universe are combined with fountains, projections, lighting and lasers. The sequence also incorporates The Mandalorian, and illuminated columns of water rise from the lagoon like enormous lightsabers. The Lion King brings Simba’s story to the show before the production moves into Mulan, using the huge canvas created by water, mist and projections to recreate imagery from the animated film. Moana is especially suited to the World of Color environment. Her journey across the ocean and determination to restore the heart of Te Fiti connect directly with the show’s use of water and its theme of an individual creating change. The Avengers provide another major sequence. Inspired in part by the portal scene from Avengers: Endgame, the Marvel portion brings Super Heroes together across Paradise Bay. Captain America, Black Panther, Spider-Man, and other Avengers appear as synchronized projections; fountains, lighting, and lasers create portal-like effects. The production builds toward its finale by bringing these different stories together around its central message: one person, one choice, or one action can create a ripple, and that ripple can ultimately become a wave of change. DISNEY CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE PARK Disney California Adventure opened on February 8, 2001, as the second theme park at the Disneyland Resort. Over the years, the park has evolved to feature lands, attractions, and entertainment inspired by California as well as Disney, Pixar, and Marvel stories. The original World of Color debuted at Disney California Adventure in 2010 and became one of the park’s signature nighttime experiences. Much of the elaborate show infrastructure remains hidden beneath the waters of Paradise Bay during the day. At night, the lagoon is transformed into a massive multimedia theater of water, light, fire, projections, and music.
