Sorry to break it to y’all… but if you’re waiting on the jealousy phase to pass, I have some news for you. 😂🤦🏽‍♀️

My parents have been married for over 50 years, and my mama still side-eyes my daddy when somebody tells him how young he looks. 😭

And my daddy? He’ll tell you, “I honor my marriage. I’m faithful. I ain’t thinking about nobody else…”

…but he’s definitely gonna accept that compliment. 😂😂😂

He’ll smile, say “Thank you,” and keep it moving. Meanwhile my mama is looking at him like, “Now don’t get beside yourself.” 💀

Watching them reminds me that a long marriage isn’t about never getting a little jealous or never teasing each other. It’s about loving each other enough to laugh through all the little moments that come with growing old together.

I hope Matt and I are still cutting up, laughing, and playfully getting on each other’s nerves 50 years from now. ❤️
