STORY TIME ✍️ 

I was recently going through our team photo album and noticed I looked so different. I haven’t seen or allowed myself to feel this happy again in my life when playing baseball. Being the only woman on my team for so long in the past, I stopped allowing myself to enjoy the game because I was so busy trying to fit in & seek approval from others that I lost sight of why I even started playing in the first place. 

If you really take a moment to notice these photos. It’s moments capturing myself finally feeling like a kid again on a baseball field. I honestly don’t think I have ever laughed, smiled, and enjoyed this game as much as I do in my career in this very moment.

What a blessing it is to feel so free to be yourself while doing something you love. What a blessing it is to not have to hide your emotions when you feel something so passionately. What a blessing it is to do it with other people who feel the same way as you do. 

I think often times we stop ourselves from allowing us to be happy because we get caught up in trying to make the world happy. I hope everyone takes a moment to allow themselves to feel like a kid again in the spaces they are in.
