Nebraska volleyball’s historic night at Wrigley Field ended just 18 points into the match against Missouri when condensation made the court unsafe.

I, Randy Silver, NTV Sports Huskers Sports Reporter, was in Chicago from the night before through the postgame press conference, covering the first collegiate volleyball event in Wrigley Field history. Here’s the full behind-the-scenes breakdown: the atmosphere, packed crowd, player introductions, the early warning signs on the court, players and staff trying to dry the surface, the suspension, and Dani Busboom Kelly’s response afterward.

Nebraska entered the match 4-0 and ranked No. 1 in the country. The Huskers remain 4-0 after the suspended match. The goal is to resume the match at a later date. It is to be determined based on scheduling if it will be able to happen.
