KING KIMI DOES IT. 👑🇮🇹⁣
⁣
Starting 19th on the grid, Kimi Antonelli battled back to win the Italian Grand Prix, becoming the first Italian to win his home race since 1966. 🏎️⁣
⁣
His seventh career win saw Antonelli battle it out with teammate George Russell, with the two going back and forth and exchanging P1 throughout the race. But with a push in the final three laps, Antonelli overtook Russell to snag the win. 🏆⁣
⁣
On his home track, Kimi Antonelli became the first Italian to win at Monza since 1966… just the 50th time in F1 history that an Italian has won the Italian GP. 🇮🇹⁣
⁣
It was a 1-2 finish for Mercedes, with Russell taking P2 and Max Verstappen rounding out the podium in P3. 🏆⁣
⁣
One of the more disheartening moments of the race was when Charles Leclerc spun out of the race on Lap 3. 😬⁣
