Spent the day reflecting on how grateful I am that I got to have so many moments with Charlie. The number of encouraging, supportive, motivating messages I got from him long before I had the courage to speak up...my goodness. I wish it hadn't taken me so long. As heartbroken as millions of us are and always will be, I keep reminding myself of this: Instead of being sad about who and what we lost, be grateful for the time we got to have with such a special human being.
