What began as museum visits between tour stops has grown into one of the most diverse and impressive collections of modern and contemporary Korean art.​ ​ RM built his collection not by chasing trends, but by always following what moved him. For RM, collecting is an act of stewardship: caring for art, preserving it for future generations, and sharing it as an entry point for anyone who might not otherwise find their way to it.​ ​ This October, his collection leaves his home and comes to SFMOMA in "RM x SFMOMA: Between You and Me," an exhibition he co-curated himself (down to writing every wall label!).
