What happens when you choose the unfamiliar?

For Anthony Finch ’26, it led to three majors, two NSF-funded research experiences, an internship with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management and a future in graduate school!

Anthony has never been afraid to ask questions or follow where they lead. From studying coastal erosion in North Carolina to using NASA technology to investigate air quality in Virginia, Anthony has embraced opportunities that pushed him outside his comfort zone.

He took that same approach to his internship with IDEM’s Office of Air Quality, where he gained firsthand experience in environmental policy and learning more about the complexity of the air we breathe.
