Notably, the MMB family lovingly refers to the clarinets as the ‘stick’ section🪾🎶 A favorite section tradition for the clarinets is the annual Stick Barbecue, a picnic celebrating new friends, start of the school year and the hard work of band week 💛💙

“My favorite part about being a stick is how fun everyone is to be around! Every time I come to practice, I get to hang out with 35 of my best friends, which is such a joy after long days of classes.” - Gabby Thomas
