The Raptors and Nuggets have a 3% chance of winning the NBA championship on kalshi

The Toronto Raptors are aiming for the absolute summit of the NBA, and the latest league intel reveals their most audacious ambition yet: identifying Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic as a premier trade target. Coming off an encouraging 46-win campaign and bolstered by the return of franchise icon Kawhi Leonard, Toronto is primed to climb into the top four of the Eastern Conference. While Jokic remains under contract in Denver, the three-time MVP has yet to sign a long-term extension, opening the door for speculation. Crucially, Jokic shares a profound bond with Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic, a fellow Serbian who coached him on the national team and commands immense respect from the superstar center.

Jokic has spent all 11 years of his decorated career in Denver, becoming the ultimate model of franchise loyalty while dominating the league with historic triple-doubles and leading the Nuggets to an NBA championship. However, with a massive $62.8 million player option looming for the 2027/28 season, the all-world playmaker holds significant leverage over his future if Denver fails to remain in championship contention. Should the Nuggets regress, the Raptors could assemble an aggressive trade proposal built around Immanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett, and a massive haul of future first-round picks to tempt Denver into a historic blockbuster.

Landing Jokic in Toronto would instantly transform the Raptors into an Eastern Conference powerhouse capable of competing with the Philadelphia 76ers, Cleveland Cavaliers, and New York Knicks. A lineup featuring Jokic alongside Kawhi Leonard, Scottie Barnes, and Jakob Poeltl would create a tactical nightmare for opposing defenses while cementing Toronto as a perennial title contender. Beyond the basketball fit, becoming the centerpiece of the only NBA franchise outside the United States under a Serbian head coach offers an iconic narrative that could appeal deeply to the greatest European player of his generation.
