The Greer Commission of Public Works is seeking $6 million in state funding for two infrastructure projects aimed at improving the city's drinking water and wastewater systems.

The Greer City Council voted to approve accepting the funding, with Councilmember Karium Booker casting the only vote against the proposal.

Both projects have been in the works for about three years and are now coming before City Council for approval. One project focuses on expanding drinking water service lines, while the other calls for replacing wastewater pipes in heavy industrial areas.
