For the first time, the Palmetto State has a long-term pediatric cancer plan aimed at improving outcomes for the state’s youngest cancer patients.

The announcement coincided with the start of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Every year, nearly 200 children in South Carolina are diagnosed with cancer, taking them from the playground to treatment.
