stoneisland spent six months following the hardcore scene, not styling it, just documenting it. shot on 35mm by isaaac.co.uk across europe and north america, high vis, angel du$t, knocked loose, haywire 617. no gloss, just access.

proportions this exaggerated shouldn’t work, and yet has2sons_  made it work. 


We’re so used to seeing promo photos and BTS be this perfect and super fabricated version of what the movie is. The way they approached this whole movie, but specially anthonyprinceleslie set photos for the new spiderman. shooting a superhero movie  on film makes it feel like it’s actually a document of something that factually happened. It feels real because it is.

it’s no secret how much of a fan i am of travis barker and blink 182. but aside from feeding my inner child with footage i’d never seen, this doc is such an inspiring look at someone who’s had it all because he was willing to do anything it took, and i mean anything, just to keep playing drums, the thing he loved most. left this one gassed up and inspired. Worth the watch.

bennysroyce shooting skate from directly above. turns a trick into a shadow puppet. I don’t think I’ve seen the sport approached with such artistic and avant garde flair. Lowkey want all of these as prints.

there’s something so inspiring about seeing things that were actually made, for real, in an era where everything is ai and everything looks the same. Think about it, someone sat with this for days. painting it in acrylic, messing it up, fixing it, redoing it, all to finish this rad piece of artwork. we need more real art.

The fact that shina_collins shot these photos on an iPhone is the ultimate proof that gear limitations only exist in your head.
