A Northern Virginia couple says two people threw a large rock or chunk of concrete from an overpass that smashed onto their SUV while they were driving their kids and friends home.

All six people inside the vehicle, including two young children, were unharmed. But the family fears it could have been much worse had the rock hit a second later.

"You could've killed six people," Dylan Martinez said.

"I'd definitely be dead. If they would've held it even more and, God forbid, it would've went through the sunroof where our kids and our friends were. I mean, it could've been really bad," he said.
