What an absolute superhero this lad is ❤️👏

Nine-year-old Albie-Junior Thomas has completed the UK's Three Peaks Challenge in an incredible 22 hours and 30 minutes alongside his dad, Daniel.

The youngster from Holywell, Flintshire, was born without a fibula in his left leg and had his foot amputated when he was just 15 months old.

But Albie-Junior has been smashing incredible challenges from a seriously young age. He climbed Yr Wyddfa at four, Ben Nevis at five and Scafell Pike at six, before deciding to take on all three within 24 hours.

After four months of training, he completed the challenge powered by ham and cheese sandwiches, sour sweets and, according to his dad, some unbelievable determination.

Daniel said: “I've never had anyone to look up to in my life, until Albie.”

He added: “He's my superhero.”

Albie-Junior's latest attempt has been submitted to Guinness World Records for verification as he hopes to become the youngest amputee to complete the challenge in under 24 hours.

And he wasn't just doing it for himself, with the challenge also raising thousands of pounds towards maintaining the new football pitch at his local club, Holywell Town FC.

As for what's next? Albie-Junior already has his sights set on climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, and entering the Paralympics.

What a lad 🙌
