Bella the dachshund became a viral favourite thanks to her adorable ‘permanent smile’, which was actually caused by a gap where one of her teeth never grew.⁠

The senior pup was part of the Instagram trio Buddy, Bella & Birdie, with her distinctive grin and personality winning over thousands of followers.⁠

Sadly, Bella’s owner announced on 5 December 2025 that she had passed away following a sudden medical emergency. They said she became ill during the night and was rushed to an emergency vet, but despite efforts to save her, she died.⁠

Her owner described Bella as “my soul dog” and said: “She followed me everywhere and was always by my side.”⁠
