We’ve been playing tennis since we were 3 years old. Growing up, we used to spend hours training on the court each day. In addition another several hours of strength & conditioning off the court. 

We thought the more time we spent training meant higher improvement & better results. 

As we got older we realized it actually had the reverse effect; the more hours we played, the more exhausted our bodies got & the worse we ended up playing as the week progressed. 

Just like in life, there’s a thin line between working hard & overworking.

Overplaying in tennis is 100% real & can actually end up hurting your game. 

It’s not about the quantity of hours you spend training, it’s about the quality of them. You don’t need to spend 4, 5, 6 hours on the court, you just need 1-2 giving it everything you’ve got. 

So next time you’re out there, remember this post & train smarter, not longer💪🏼🎾
