#NORE is facing a lawsuit from #CarmenBryan, who accuses the rapper of sexually assaulting her at a crowded Manhattan nightclub in 1999, RollingStone reports.

Bryan, who shares a daughter with #Nas, alleges N.O.R.E., whose real name is Victor Santiago, approached her while “visibly intoxicated” and sexually assaulted her without consent. The lawsuit claims he ignored her pleas to stop and had to be pulled away by other clubgoers.

Bryan alleges N.O.R.E. followed her outside as she cried and repeatedly asked, “Don’t you know who I am?” According to the lawsuit, he then recognized her as Nas’ partner and allegedly apologized, saying, “Carm, I didn’t know it was you.”

Bryan claims he apologized again weeks later. She says she remained silent for more than 25 years partly because of the sexism, sexual objectification and “misogynoir” she experienced within hip-hop culture at the time.
