Not gonna lie, I went into labor afraid of the pain I was about to experience, mostly because I had no idea what it would actually feel like.

I know not everyone likes to associate labor and birth with pain, but for me, I actually found it helpful to know what kind of discomfort might come at each stage. Knowing didn’t make it hurt less, but it helped me feel more prepared to face it.

So I don’t share my pain ratings to scare anyone preparing for birth. I share them to empower you.

Don’t fear the pain. Prepare for it, work with it, and trust what your body is capable of. You are stronger than you think. 🤍
