April 19-25 is fertility awareness week. Most of you are already familiar with my story, but in case you’re not - I had 2 recurrent pregnancy losses in 2025. One in July at 6 weeks and one in November at 10 weeks. 1 in 4 people experience miscarriage and 1 in 6 people experience fertility issues. I had NO clue how common miscarriages were because it’s still not talked about enough. And let me be clear, JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE COMMON DOESN’T MAKE THE PAIN ANY LESS REAL! We don’t know what’s going on with anyone’s TTC journey behind close doors. We need to lead with empathy and compassion. We need to stop pressuring people. We need to stop asking when people will get pregnant. We need to choose kindness.
