Cal football sold out of 2026-27 student passes faster than ever before ahead of this football season’s start with a highly anticipated matchup against UCLA, even after Cal Athletics expanded the student section to accommodate more fans.

Students bought up 8,082 Cal football student passes, which grant pass holders access to California Memorial Stadium’s student section at all Cal football games, according to Associate Athletics Director Jonathan Okanes.

This Saturday, Cal football will go head to head with UCLA in bear territory for the team’s first game of the season. The event, which kicks off 7:30 p.m., is also sold out for student single, guest and group tickets.
