Honoring the life of Dr. Robert Bryan Sloan, Jr. 🕊️
Dr. Sloan, beloved President of Houston Christian University, passed away suddenly but peacefully on July 4, 2026, following an unexpected stroke — surrounded by his wife, Sue, and their family.

For nearly twenty years, he led HCU with unwavering faith and vision, following a distinguished career as President and Chancellor of Baylor University. A devoted husband of 56 years, father of seven, and "Pops" to twenty-six grandchildren, he leaves behind a legacy of scholarship, pastoral care, and steadfast leadership that shaped generations of Huskies. 🧡💙

Friday, July 10 | 11:00 a.m.
📍Linda and Archie Dunham Theater, Morris Cultural Arts Center
Reception to follow in McNair Hall
